VET4Digital Project | Steering Committee meeting

VET4Digital Project | Strengthening Digital VET in Sub-Saharan Africa

On January 29, 2026, the VET4Digital consortium convened for a Steering Committee meeting to formally launch project implementation and coordinate strategic activities aimed at strengthening digital capacities in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The meeting focused on aligning international experts in cybersecurity, project management, and education to ensure continuity between previous research outcomes and the current project framework. Discussions emphasized the establishment of efficient operational structures and quality assurance mechanisms.

Key outcomes of the meeting included:

  • Methodology Validation: Approval of the project’s strategic and pedagogical approach to digital skills development.

  • Coordination and Communication: Definition of collaboration procedures among partner institutions to enhance local and regional impact.

  • Monitoring and Evaluation Framework: Establishment of documentation standards, milestones, and performance indicators to support long-term project sustainability.

The Steering Committee meeting marked a significant step in advancing the project’s objectives to strengthen vocational education and training systems, enhance employability, and contribute to bridging the digital skills gap in the region.
