Study Visit in Poland 24-28.09.2023
The study visit of our African partners to Wrocław lasted for three days, with the primary goal of exposing them to the European experience in Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses and facilitating interactions with green energy companies and industry representatives from Poland and Norway. The aim was to provide the African partners with valuable insights into European best practices in organizing VET courses, conducting labor market research, and developing effective approaches to benefit course participants and students.
The visit was structured around a series of interactive workshops, keynote speeches, and company visits. Participants were engaged in discussions about European green energy practices and the challenges of implementing these solutions in African countries. The workshops focused on identifying and addressing the underlying issues in current national strategies for VET in Africa.
Key highlights of the visit included a tour of the Wrocław University of Economics' business incubator, InQUBE, where the group learned about innovations and green energy projects. The KARIBU Foundation led workshops aimed at analyzing the challenges faced by African countries in adopting European best practices for green energy and VET integration.
On the final day, the group visited the Vocational School Complex No. 3 in Wrocław, where they participated in workshops focused on the VET paradigm. These sessions aimed to improve the methodology of VET courses and enhance the participants' understanding of labor market needs, allowing them to adapt their educational strategies accordingly.
The interactive sessions, group activities, and presentations were carefully designed to help the participants refine their VET methodologies, enrich their courses, and better align their educational approaches with the demands of the labor market, ultimately improving the quality and relevance of vocational training in their respective countries.
